CM Mohan Charan Majhi continues tradition of direct public engagement
Bhubaneswar, Aug 5: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi upheld his reputation as a leader attentive to the needs of his constituents by personally addressing a multitude of concerns at the State Grievance Cell today. Majhi, known for his commitment to public service, listened to hundreds of grievances, reassuring citizens and promising timely resolutions while advising patience.
In a move that breaks down the barriers between the public and high-ranking officials, Majhi's direct engagement was met with appreciation from those who rarely have the opportunity to voice their issues directly to such senior leaders. Following the Chief Minister's instructions, government officials have been actively forwarding the complaints to the relevant departments for swift action.
Today's session, part of an ongoing initiative that began on July 1, marked the third day of hearings. The Chief Minister started the proceedings at 10 a.m. and continued until approximately 5 p.m., during which 2,403 complaints were registered, and over 5,000 people interacted with Majhi and other ministers.
Among the many who benefited from today’s session was Santosh Sahu, a differently-abled resident of Khurda Tangi. Sahu, who has struggled for eight years after losing a job he had been formally appointed to, was relieved and hopeful after receiving a commitment from Majhi that his case would be thoroughly investigated.
Similarly, Bulu Biswal, a differently-abled youth from a poor family in Ganjam district, sought assistance in acquiring a scooty to support his family. The Chief Minister assured Biswal that he would receive the requested vehicle, leaving him satisfied and optimistic.
The session demonstrated Majhi's dedication to resolving individual issues and fostering a transparent and accessible government, with many citizens leaving the grievance cell with renewed hope and confidence in the administration’s responsiveness.
