BJP marks 46th Foundation Day with grand celebration in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, April 6: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated its 46th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm across Odisha, with the central event taking place at the party’s state headquarters in Bhubaneswar. The occasion witnessed a massive turnout of party workers and leaders, including Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, State BJP President Manmohan Samal, and party in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar.

Marking the event, Manmohan Samal hoisted the party flag at his residence early in the day, followed by the main celebration at the party office. Addressing the gathering, Samal expressed gratitude to the people of Odisha, highlighting that the BJP currently has over 40 lakh members in the state, with an ambitious goal of doubling the number in the coming year.

Chief Minister Majhi extended his greetings on the occasion, calling the BJP a “nationwide movement” built on the dedication and sacrifices of its workers. He urged everyone to continue working for the development of both Odisha and the nation.

Speaking to party workers, Samal noted the significance of the day coinciding with Ram Navami, stating, “There is renewed energy among our karyakartas as we mark this special day. The party has grown through years of struggle and is now leading the country under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, just as it was once guided by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.”

Samal further emphasized that the BJP's continued success is a reflection of the people’s trust, stating, “We are fortunate to receive the people’s mandate for the third time nationally and for the first time in Odisha.”

The celebration included cultural performances, speeches by senior leaders, and reaffirmation of the party’s commitment to public service and good governance.
